Crazy Roo! Help!!!
Hello fellow chicken tenders! I’ve had a few chickens for a few years. Going pretty well. Got some chicks about 9 months ago. 2 were Roos. I sent one back home to where he came from. The 1 left is a great guard chicken, but why does he feel the need to protect my chickens from ME?! Past few days he’s come at me- at treat time- when it’s time to go inside for the evening. Once they are roosted, I can pet him anywhere, calmly, with no fear. But now, at treat time, he goes nuts for the container and me! I picked him up last week and carried him around with no aggression. Now, he looks at me all “cock”eyes! I want to keep him for many reasons, but I can’t have a half-cocked rooster in my yard with kids, dogs and neighbors. Any thoughts?
