BEHAVIORAL APPROACH
There are two approaches that leaders are distinguished from. One, their behavior and second, relationship behaviors. This week we will discuss the behavioral approach. As you watched the video you find that it is one that emphasizs the personality characteristics of the leader; what the leader does. The behavior of the leader is to represent the core of providing structure for followers and nurturing them.
The behavioral approach reminds leaders that their actions towards others occure on a task level and a relationship level. There may be times a leader may be more tasked focused and other times building relationship with their followers. The behavioral approach is one that can make an impact on others while you as a leader perform as well.
