Neurodivergence Training is happening in 44 days
We Made It Through Our First Week Together
One week. Seven days. And already I can feel what this community is going to become. I have read your introductions. I have read your comments. I have read the things you shared about your children, your students, and your families. And I want you to know: I see every single one of you. This week, I learned that this community is full of parents who are trying SO hard and who deserve so much more support than they have been getting. I learned that there are educators in here who are quietly doing extraordinary work in classrooms that were not built to support the children they love. I learned that there are grandmothers and aunties and extended family members carrying more than most people know. And I learned that this community is going to be something real. Thank you for being here. Drop a heart in the comments to let me know you saw this. And if you have not introduced yourself yet, it is not too late. Come say hello. The next chapter starts Monday. See you then. Dr. KC
Our FIRST Community Live Session!!!!
Hello, my beautiful people. I have been waiting to say these words for a while now. We are going live. On Tuesday, June 2nd, at 7:00 PM CST, I am sitting down with this community for our very first live session inside the BRIDGE Community. And I want you there. Here is what we are going to talk about: YOUR CHILD IS NOT TOO MUCH. Understanding the Neurodivergent Brain in Black and Caribbean Families. If you have ever sat across from a teacher, a doctor, or a family member and been told that your child is too hyper, too emotional, too sensitive, too unfocused, or just too much, this session was built for you. We are going to talk about what is actually happening in the neurodivergent brain, why Caribbean and Black children are so often misdiagnosed or dismissed entirely, and what you, as a parent, can do right now to advocate for your child with both love and evidence. I am bringing my clinical training, my Caribbean roots, and my whole heart to this conversation. This is not a lecture. This is a living room. Come as you are. Here are the details: Date: Tuesday, June 2nd Time: 7:00 PM CST / 8:00 PM Trinidad and Tobago / 7:00 PM Jamaica / 8:00 PM Eastern Where: Right here inside the BRIDGE Community. Log in and look for the live event at the top of the feed. Come with your questions. Come with your stories. Come with the thing you have been afraid to ask. This is a safe space, and I mean that. I will see you on June 2nd, Dr. KC

Ask Dr. KC Thursday: Your Questions Answered (**This runs every Thursday going forward)
The Ask Dr. KC thread is officially open for this week. What have you been wondering about? What is confusing you right now? What do you wish someone would just explain clearly and without judgment? Drop your question in the comments below. I will be in this thread responding to as many questions as I can, and the questions I cannot answer here will become future videos, posts, or live sessions. A gentle reminder before you post: this thread is a space for psychoeducational community support. It is not individual therapy, clinical consultation, or medical advice. For questions specific to your child's diagnosis, treatment plan, medication, or safety, please work with your child's healthcare team. With that said, bring your questions. The more real, the better. Dr. KC

Small Win Wednesday: Tell Me What Went a Little Better (This runs every Wednesday going forward.)
It is Wednesday inside The BRIDGE, and that means it is time to stop for just a moment. What went a little better this week? It does not have to be big. A smoother morning routine. A transition that did not turn into a full meltdown. A conversation with your child's teacher that actually felt productive. A moment when you paused before reacting, and it changed everything. If you are an educator, your wins count here, too. The student who made eye contact for the first time. The day the whole class made it through a transition without chaos. The moment you tried something new, and it worked. And if this week was hard? If there were no wins? Then your win is that you are still here. Still showing up. Still trying. That counts. Share in the comments. We are celebrating everything inside The BRIDGE. Dr. KC
Quick check in. No pressure, no wrong answers.
Drop a number in the comments: 1 if you are here as a parent or caregiver, 2 if you are here as an educator or school professional, 3 if you are both, 4 if you are something else entirely. That is it, just a number. I want to know who is in the room with me. Dr. KC
