Our Community Agreement: The Values That Hold Us Together
Before you settle in, I want to share what holds this community together. These are not just rules. They are the values we have all agreed to live by inside The BRIDGE. 1. LEAD WITH LOVE. We speak to one another with warmth, patience, and respect. No shaming. No blaming. No diagnosing someone else's child based on a paragraph in a comment. 2. PROTECT CHILDREN'S DIGNITY. When you share about your child or a child in your care, remember they are a full human being who may one day read what you wrote. Share thoughtfully. Protect their story. 3. THIS IS NOT THERAPY. The BRIDGE Community is a place of education and community support. It is not clinical treatment. If you or someone in your care is in crisis, we will connect you to the right professional support. 4. NO MEDICAL OR LEGAL ADVICE. We do not provide medication recommendations, diagnoses, or legal counsel. Please consult your child's healthcare providers and qualified professionals for those needs. 5. HONOR ALL BRAINS. We are a neurodivergent-affirming community. We do not debate whether ADHD, autism, or learning differences are real. Every brain belongs here. 6. CULTURAL RESPECT We celebrate the full diversity of our community, including families from the Caribbean, Africa, Latin America, the diaspora, and everywhere in between. Cultural humility is not optional here. 7. NO SOLICITATION. Please do not advertise products, services, or other communities without permission from Dr. KC. 8. PRIVACY FIRST What is shared in The BRIDGE stays in The BRIDGE. Do not screenshot or republish members' personal stories without explicit permission. 9. ASK BEFORE YOU ADVISE. When someone shares a struggle, pause and ask if they want advice or if they simply need to be heard. Both are valid. Neither is assumed. 10. WE DO NOT DO THIS ALONE. You are not alone in this village. We show up for one another. We hold space. We celebrate. We keep going together. Thank you for agreeing to these values. They are what make this a community and not just a group.

Welcome to The BRIDGE Community
Hello, my beautiful community. If you are reading this, you found your way home. And I am so glad you did. I am Dr. Karine Clay, PhD. I am a clinical and industrial-organizational psychologist, an educator, a published author, and the founder of The BRIDGE Community. I started this space because I kept meeting the same people over and over again. Parents who were exhausted and felt like they were failing. Teachers who wanted to do better but had no real tools. Grandparents and caregivers who loved a child fiercely but had no idea why that child was struggling. Caribbean families who were navigating all of this while also carrying the weight of cultural misunderstanding and stigma. I built The BRIDGE for every single one of you. Here is what this community is: A free psychoeducational learning village. Practical tools. Real science explained in real language. Cultural warmth. And a genuine community of people who are walking this road alongside you. Here is what this community is not: It is not therapy. It is not a clinical service. It is not a crisis platform. And it is not a place of shame or judgment. Before you do anything else, please do these three things: 1. Watch the short welcome video below. 2. Read our Community Agreement (pinned post below this one). 3. Come over to the Let's Talk category and introduce yourself. I read every single introduction. Every single one. You belong here. Welcome home. With so much love, Dr. KC
