1. Welcome to the Society You are not watching the investigation. You are the investigator. Each week, The Keeper opens a new Black Folder containing a mystery built to be solved by the Society. Your job is to examine the evidence, question what you're being told, identify lies, build a timeline, develop theories, and ultimately answer one question: What really happened? You do not need detective experience. You do not need to be a true-crime expert. Everything you need to solve the case will be provided inside the Society. But you will have to pay attention. 2. Your Investigation Week Every Black Folder unfolds over five days. MONDAY — THE BLACK FOLDER OPENS This is the main case drop. You'll receive the case introduction and the primary evidence available to investigators. Evidence is marked: M01, M02, M03... Study everything. Names. Times. Locations. Objects. Statements. Photographs. Documents. Something that seems insignificant Monday may become extremely important later. TUESDAY — ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE The investigation continues. New evidence is released and marked: T01, T02, T03... Tuesday may strengthen your theory—or destroy it. Do not assume new evidence automatically replaces what you learned Monday. Compare it against the original case. WEDNESDAY — SUSPECT INTERVIEWS Now you hear from the people involved. Interviews are marked: W01, W02, W03... Wednesday is the final investigative information drop. After the interviews, no new evidence will be introduced. Everything required to solve the mystery is now in your hands. THURSDAY — THE WAR ROOM The Society goes to work. No new evidence. No surprise clue. No last-minute document. Thursday is about you and the other investigators. Bring your theory. Challenge someone else's. Compare timelines. Defend your suspect. Point out contradictions. The Keeper will provide War Room questions designed to push the investigation deeper. By the end of Thursday, make your final call. FRIDAY — THE TRUTH

The Black Folder Society is a mystery solving game. Every Monday a full case file opens: crime scene photographs, witness statements, phone records, a timeline, an evidence log. Suspects. One of them did it, and you have until Friday at 9pm to work out which one. Wednesdays you get to question the suspects directly. They're allowed to lie to you. Every case is written from scratch. Nobody in them is a real person. The first case opens Monday 24 August at 9am, and it's free.

Our very first official case file will be released on Monday, August 24, 2026.
