Welcome: so glad you're here!
Whether you're brand new to the community, or been here for a while, thank you for carving out the time (and headspace!) to be here 🌿 This is a space for the 40+ woman who senses that what she’s moving through is about more than hormones. Think of this community as a holistic buffet: you’re free to browse, sample what calls to you, and leave the rest. There are no prescriptions here; just possibilities. βœ… Step 1: Head to the Classroom, and start with Sip Into Ease. It's a super simple, 7-day practice to kickstart the process of nourishing your body and mind with whole food. In this case, herbal teas that soothe and support from head to toe. βœ… Step 2: Go deeper with a paid membership so you can get access to all future recipes, workshops, group calls, and resources that I create. βœ… Step 3: Introduce yourself below πŸ‘‡ Share your name, where you're joining from, and one thing you're hoping to get from this experience. I look forward to connecting with you!
Your skin is your largest organ
What are you feeding it? -------------------- Something I would love for us to get into in this group is skincare. Not the 39-step layering routine. But what skin care represents for you. Because for me, I see it as an important and integral part of caring for ourselves. And I want to share the picture below with you all because these two products represent "food for the skin." We often talk about eating for the skin in terms of the literal food we eat. But there's a whole other category that I think is equally valuable: face oils. Depending on which one you use, your skin is getting nutrients like: - beta carotene - vitamin E - omega fatty acids (3, 6, 9 and the lesser known, 7) Personally, I love oils because they contain nutrients and they are multi-taskers for someone like me who believes in taking exquisite care of this massive organ (but who doesn't believe it should require hours or tons of products). And the extra perk is I'm reducing the chemicals I'm exposed to every day (important for that skin microbiome that protects us in so many ways). πŸ‘‰ How do you approach skin care: do you see it as separate from other forms of care? Do you have any guiding principles for skin care? P.S. the small bottle on the left is sea buckthorn seed oil.

Days 6 + 7: Freestyle!
I hope you're having a lovely weekend and if you're doing the Sleep Kickstart, this is a quick reminder that today and tomorrow are freestyle days. So revisit any of the movement videos from the past 5 days and notice how it feels the second time around. Also, the full sleep course is here whenever you want to dive in: #😴 Introduction Thank you for participating this week and stay tuned for a fun new ritual coming in July! 😘
Day 5: What would make this even better?
Today is our last "formal" day of the kickstart (tomorrow and Sunday, you get to freestyle and revisit any of the movement videos that you liked from previous lessons). Before we slide into the weekend, I'd love to know: If I ran this sleep kickstart again, what would make it even better for you? - 🍡 A daily moment of calm - πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Moving my body gently - πŸ“΅ Less screen time at night - 🌿 Trusting simple over complicated

Day 4: Impromptu Bellydance!
So much of our lives is spent reaching, striving, producing, strategizing (especially when you work for yourself). Basically, yang energy. Doing that chronically tends to throw off sleep (it does for me). Last night I ended up doing some impromptu bellydance to shake off the day and an upsetting conversation I'd had. I just knew that I couldn't try to "positive think" my way out of the heaviness of the convo. For me, bellydance is a soft and playful/creative place to rest. Basically the yin/feminine energy to balance the yang/masculine energy of the outer world. We need both for harmony in our health and just life anyway. And it did the trick: I shimmied off the heaviness! πŸ˜… πŸ‘‰ What's one form of movement that helps you soften out of "doing" mode and have the movements in this kickstart helping you to find it? P.S - Years ago my bellydance teacher mentioned that Shakira was one of the very best out there as far as technique. Since my teacher was from Morocco and knows the authentic thing, I paid attention. I guess hips really don't lie!
