Most people try to solve the situationwhile theyāre still activated.

Donāt solve it yet.
First:
- Notice what your body is doing
- Take one slow inhale
- Take a longer exhale
- Wait 10ā20 seconds
That pause isnāt doing nothing.
Itās telling your nervous systemit doesnāt have to rush.
From there, you can ask:
Do I need to respond right now?
Or do I just feel like I do?
That question alone creates space.
And space is where better decisions come from.
