I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually means to lead your business… not just run it.
And something I shared in this week’s email keeps circling back for me:
CEO identity isn’t about how much you do.
It’s about how you decide.
Most of us built our business from the place of:
- “I’ll just do it real quick…”
- “I’ll handle it…”
- “It’s fine, I’ll figure it out…”
- “I’ll catch up later…”
And suddenly we’re juggling 20 tabs, 6 roles, 4 deadlines, 3 kids, and 1 nervous system trying to hold it all together.
So this week, I’d love to bring the conversation here:
What part of your business makes you slip into ‘employee mode’ instead of ‘CEO mode’?
Is it:
✨ Saying yes too quickly
✨ Doing everything manually
✨ Not wanting to slow down long enough to decide
✨ Avoiding the thing you know would make everything easier
✨ Always reacting instead of leading
There’s no wrong answer, we all have our “thing.”
Drop yours below and let’s talk about it.
I’ll share mine in the comments too.
