After we clear out the drawing and value, now comes the color. Which in my opinion is the least scariest thing and actually the most fun once you get the hang of it. No prior color theory needed, if i never learned color theory you shouldnt either (I still to this day do not know what tertiary color is)

The purpose of this demo was to demonstrate how to showcase a backlit subject matter while maintaining structural drawing using very compressed values.

I approached this demo with a more sculptural approach!

In this demo, finding the drawing from the get go is emphasized and nuanced value and compressed values is explored.

We tackle temperature shifts and form modeling without the use of a traditional block in within this demo

We tackled subtle color variations and the cheat code on how to manipulate colors without worry about warm and cools using this dog portrait as a learning vehicle

We tackled how to create a full colored portrait painting, color stacking is discussed and utilized as well as how to create flesh tones without thinking about flesh tones

In this demo I showcased how to tackle 2 subject matters in closed grisaille back to back and executing each within 45 minutes
