This is beautiful work,
You didn’t try to force anything here and that’s exactly why it works. The whole poem feels like a slow exhale… like something heavy finally loosening its grip.
β€œCourage is not a shout,
it’s just the simple turning
of a key in a stubborn lock.”
That line right there… that’s the spine of the poem. Simple, clear, and it hits hard without trying to.
I also love how you stayed consistent with the tone nothing feels rushed or out of place. The imagery is soft but intentional. β€œAcceptance tastes like clean rain” is one of those lines that just lingers.
If I had to push you a little further? I’d say maybe tighten one or two spots just to sharpen the impact but honestly, that’s refinement, not correction.
This feels honest. And honesty always wins.
Really strong piece. πŸ‘
