Today⦠something bigger than poetry happened.
One of our own, James Humecky our Poem of the Week winner stepped up in a way that honestly stopped me in my tracks.
He donated $20 so someone else could chase their dream.
That someone is Kasper Englundβ¦
whoβs had a rough yearβ¦
who thought this opportunity might pass them byβ¦
and is now in tears because of one act of kindness.
Let that sink in for a second.
Not a like.
Not a comment.
A real, tangible moment that changed someoneβs dayβ¦ maybe even more than that.
And it didnβt stop thereβ¦
Shoutout to Jamesβs community, Somatic Pleasure, for being part of that energy because people donβt just do things like this out of nowhere. That kind of generosity comes from the environment you build and the values you stand on.

π₯ This is what weβre building together.
ποΈ Not just writersβ¦ but people who lift each other up.
James you didnβt just help someone enter a book.
You reminded all of us what kind of community weβre part of.
