Let Results Do the Talking This New Year...
Declaring your goals is great… if that works for you. For some people, saying it out loud creates accountability. It lights a fire. It locks them in. But for a lot of people, talking becomes the release. They feel productive just by declaring it and the work never actually starts. Here’s what I’ve learned over decades of doing this: You don’t owe anyone an announcement. You don’t need validation to begin. You don’t need permission to move. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stay quiet, put your head down, and do the work. Results don’t need a speech. They introduce themselves. It’s the last day of 2025. Whatever this year gave you...lessons, wins, losses, clarity...use it. Happy New Year. Now let’s get to work.
🚨Cybersecurity Alert: Critical Vulnerability Affects Trusted Google Products🚨
Cyber Security Alert: Malicious Chrome Extensions Urgent Security Check for All Browser Extensions. What to do if you’re affected, please read through the article and go all the way to the bottom for next steps. Recent malicious hacks discovered in the past 72 hours affect popular Google Chrome extensions, allowing attackers to steal your private passwords, drain your bank or crypto accounts, and even record your private conversations without you ever knowing. **These extensions with high ratings or "Verified" badges can be turned into tools for surveillance and theft through automatic updates.** 🛑 Recent Major Incidents • Trust Wallet Theft: A malicious update (v2.68) released via a leaked API key stole over $7 million by harvesting users' private recovery phrases between December 24–26. • AI Chat Spyware: Popular extensions like “Chat GPT for Chrome” and “AI Sidebar with Deepseek” were caught exfiltrating private chat histories and session tokens from over 900,000 users. • Proxy Hijacking: Extensions named "Phantom Shuttle" were discovered rerouting user traffic through attacker-controlled servers to steal login credentials for social media and educational platforms. • Developer Phishing: Hackers targeted extension developers to inject malicious code into at least 35 legitimate tools, allowing them to steal "session cookies" that let them log into your accounts without needing your password 🛡️ What You Need To Do • Audit Your Extensions: Type chrome://extensions/ into your browser. Remove any tool you don't recognize or haven't used in the last month. • Update Trust Wallet: If you use this wallet, ensure you are on v2.69 or later. If you used v2.68 last week, move your funds to a new wallet address immediately. • Check Permissions: Be wary of any extension asking to "Read and change all your data on all websites." If a simple calculator or dark-mode tool asks for this, delete it. • Run a Safety Check: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Safety Check in Chrome to identify known compromised extensions.
AI tools for caregiving
Any other caregivers here? This is a big commitment for so many of us and a regular part of our daily lives. Caregiving has run quietly alongside my professional life for most of my adulthood. At age 19 I became a caregiver for my mom while serving in the U.S. Navy, and I carried that role for 28 years alongside full time work, raising a family, and managing long term medical needs across changing stages of care. The mental load has never turned off. I track, plan, anticipate, and make decisions constantly, often without visibility or support. I’m so grateful for the AI tools we have now! I wish they were available back when I REALLY needed them. That experience shapes how I think about everyday cognitive support. I look past productivity hacks and focus on practical ways of reducing friction and mental overhead. My life in a 7 person multigenerational household is complex and emotionally loaded. My household ranges in age from 5 years old to 92 years old. I’m interested in what tools, systems, or approaches other caregivers find genuinely helpful while balancing caregiving with their work and daily responsibilities, even just small things that make life feel more manageable. I’m right here in the trenches with you, Sandwich Generation friends. Hugs.
🚫 Stop Trying to Learn "All of AI" (You're Setting Yourself Up to Fail)
Here's the mistake we see everyone making: trying to master every AI tool that hits the market. ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Notion AI, Jasper, GG, Runway, Stable Diffusion... the list never ends. Result? Analysis paralysis. Tool overload. Zero progress. Here's what actually works: Pick ONE tool. Get really good at it. Use it until it saves you real time and money. THEN add the next one. We call it the "AI Staircase" approach: - Step 1: Master ChatGPT for your most time-consuming task - Step 2: Once it's automatic, add ONE specialized tool - Step 3: Repeat (but only after step 2 is effortless) The truth: You don't need to know everything about AI. You need to know the RIGHT things for YOUR business. Most successful entrepreneurs we know use 2-3 AI tools really well, not 20 tools poorly. Your challenge: What's the ONE AI tool you're going to focus on mastering this month? Drop it below and let's help you get really good at it! 👇
