Alan Touring TEST was the first step to tell wheater someone is a robot or human, and if something beat the Touring test, than it means that you talk to the robot actually, and you think it is a human. So AI was better than human in pretending to be a human, than human itself. For decades it was impossible, unthikable. So it is not an obstacle anymore, and again, we have a legal problem. Now we have other metrics, and sentience, and AGI (Arteficial General Intelligence) which is not just reciting facts, it can give you new, different perspective, reasons, and things that have never been said before.
