A long list of use cases in case it inspires any newbies :)
I've been using AI since months after chatGPT came out.
What follows is a long list of sample ways I use it in business and life in case this can inspire anyone!
• Taught my 87 year old mom to use chatGPT. She now uses it for recipes, medical info, helping her navigate services and reviews, and most fun of all, she now uses the live voice version to help translate when she interacts with non-English speaking travellers.
• Introduced it to my dad, who is a physicist who still actively participates in research, also at 87. With AI expert colleagues and genius students has set up an online repository of papers in the field which they are now using agents to search and permutate to further their understandings.
• It tutored me on how to set up an LLC in conjunction with my lawyer so I could intelligently discuss options and execute the changes without pulling my hair out :)
• It tutored me on how to migrate my quickbooks account to the new business and do the accounting in a compliant manner
• It helped me debug my website when it crashed in the middle of the night, figure out quirks in a wide variety of apps, and taught me how to use them better. It has on occasion, even though it won't admit it, mysteriously fixed things for me.
• I use it to edit my weekly newsletter and unlike other editors it will maintain my words and tone of voice rather than AI-ifying it. Takes about 30 seconds vs an hour of frustration with other editors.
• Formats my reminder emails to clients per my spec depending on how they wish to connect. For client privacy reasons I send my own emails still.
• I recently had it tutor me on how to use a free Zapier account - I can now update one line in a google sheet which will trigger zoom to set up a meeting for me. Singing Alleluia about that since I do 10-20 zoom meetings a week!
• It helps me debug health issues for those I love so they can talk intetlligently to their doctors. For example a friend's cat bit her, but the prescribed antibiotic was doing no good. AI helped me figure out it was cat scratch fever which requires a different antibiotic. My friend worked with the doctor, got on the right one and healed.
• I use it in two Etsy shops which I set up on the side for both extra income and the fun of creative outlets. I use a variety of image generators including Canva, midjourney, kittle, mydesigns, and playground which is complete overkill and total joy.
• I like to both have it do research and as well feed it my own keyword research to optimize listings.
• It taught me how to migrate an amazon KDP book to Ingram Spark, set up a pen name, run amazon ads, and even proofreads my books - took all of 30 seconds for it to find ONE error in a 200+ page activity book. I do double check. It is not infallible, but it is good!
• I also use it in different ways to assist clients outside the scope of my work because I just like to assist. For example:
• I had a meal plan drawn up for a woman with diabetes and heart conditions who wouldn't give up her cultural flavors. It taught her how to maintain her flavor profile in a way that would work with her conditions.
• I had it create a tutorial and prompt sequence for a client who wants to develop a website but doesn't know where to begin.
• I had it create a content calendar for a young friend starting a business, and prompts to maintain that flow, as well as prompts to help him work with AI to create content, organize classes, etc.
• I had it draw up a tutorial for another who wanted to start a youtube channel, created banner, and thumbnail templates in canva for her, and list out the first few months of ideas along with several possible angels and schedules.
•I fed it one client's former resumes, current desired job description, and writing samples and had it pull data relevant to their desired job into a resume and cover letter that were tailored for the job.
• I had it weed through pages of another client's long resume to sort and organize data relative to her desired job.
• And perhaps one of my most creative achievements with it, was a song tribute to all the unsung heros in life. I often have lyrics drop in my mind, so I uploaded them to Suno, worked with ChatGPT to adequately described and tweak the style I wanted, then ued midjourney to get images out of my head and into a slideshow that went with the song. The feedback was profoundly positiveve - it touched hearts and that was my intent.
This is a small list of how I've used it, and I look foward to learning more.
