Here’s a simple rule I swear by:
Give yourself 3 minutes to write the first draft of any idea.
Why?
Because most people overthink their writing to death.
They write 10 words, delete 5, rewrite 7, and end up with NOTHING.
The 3-minute rule forces you to get the ideas out of your head and onto the page.
Sure, your first draft won’t be perfect, but guess what?
That’s what editing is for.
You can’t fix a blank page.
Try it out, and let me know if it works for you.
