100% yes, you should.
Getting out of the request tab is the goal, so that they get notifications, but remember this…
… they’re still running a business.
They’re going to (or someone in their team will) check the requests tab for new clients, prospects, and supporting existing clients.
All you’ve got to do is send a message at the right time, or use an opener that grabs their attention…
Who knows?
They could go into their DMs to find a copywriter, and your message is at the top because you stayed consistent.
You just need a bit of luck, and the thing is…
… you never know when it’s coming your way.
That’s why I say try hard every day, and push as hard as possible.
You never know when your lucky day is coming.
