At this point, I’ve coached 100s of copywriters…
… probably 1000s now I think about it lol and there’s something I see time and time again that keep many of them broke.
And I fell for it too when I first started.
People think they can "efficiency hack" their way past learning the fundamentals.
I call it the Efficiency Illusion.
When I was grinding my way from zero to $10k/mo,
Waking up at 2AM to outreach before my construction shifts,
I started noticing something weird.
The copywriters who were always hunting for the next "secret strategy" or looking for some magic outreach template?
Still broke 12 months later.
But the ones who just got really really good at the boring basics?
Banking $10k+ every month.
Wild right?
And look, trying to "shortcut" copywriting is like...
… Okay dookie analogy but it's like trying to bake a cake twice as fast by just cranking the oven to 500 degrees.
You don't get a cake faster.
You get smoke and a mess and now you gotta start over from scratch.
The pattern I’ve seen across beginners is always the same.
The ones looking for hacks always take the longest route to actually making money.
(Which is kinda funny when you think about it.)
So what's the actual efficiency hack?
Find the 3-4 things that actually matter, then do them over and over until you're stupidly good at them.
No magic.
No secret client-getting formula that "mentors don't want you to know."
Nothing hidden behind a paywall.
Just get good at:
- Sending outreach that doesn't make people cringe.
- Writing copy that actually gets clicks.
- Following up until someone replies.
Once you’ve mastered them, you’ll over take 90% of your competition.
