Can I close this client?
👉 Question:
From @doublet_tobi_toni “Hey Tyson,
I currently have a pending client but he's currently looking at other copywriters' price quotes to look for a better deal.
We've hopped on a call already but he was unsure of the pricing.
Please how do I layout an efficient sales argument with a 90% chance of closing.?”
👉 Answer:
There are a couple of angles you can take, which I’ll run through…
… but also think about this:
If this prospect is really being tight with money and looking for the cheapest option, is that really someone you want to work for?
Let me tell you, cheapest clients are the WORST. @everyone
Multiple revisions, late payments, and they don’t value your skills.
Now, if you really want to close them, you need to direct the conversation away from price and towards the value you bring.
It depends on the scope of the project, but leverage different facts where possible.
For example, if the job is email marketing, you can explain that an optimized email system can generate up to 40x ROI.
If it’s for ads, they can get well above a 10x return.
And then you link in your skillsets and how you can help to push towards those numbers.
These are the kind of facts you need to know before going on a call so that you can use them when needed.
A business owner will like the idea of paying you $2k/mo to write emails, and potentially getting back $80k.
It’s a no-brainer.
Another thing you could do is ask what they’re searching for that you don’t have, and if it comes down to price, you could ask along the lines of:“Is the cheapest option the one that’s likely to get you the best results?”
Give these some thought and see which applies better to your situation bro.
You’ve got this 💪
