Hi everyone. While I’m not 100% sober at the moment, I am working on. A few days ago I celebrated 2 years alcohol free. I use no other drugs aside from caffeine. It has been far more difficult giving up caffeine than alcohol. I’m down to one cup of 75% decaf/25% caffeinated coffee in the morning but I eat dark chocolate every day and I have kombucha on occasion.
I’ve gone cold turkey a few times and it was insanely intense but it also showed me how physically addicted I had become. This time around I am tapering off. My next step is letting go of chocolate and kombucha.
