Japanese Lounge is a great place to learn! てつ先生 does an amazing job explaining everything in a way that is easily understandable. I had taken courses in a classroom setting and used grammar books and his way is just more direct and logical. Also, he is so calm and positive! He makes everyone feel very welcome and involved but every student has a choice to be as interactive as they choose. He has built a really friendly community where everyone is very helpful and supportive!

This is a great friendly community for Japanese learners. Tetsu sensei is an amazing teacher-some of the grammar concepts that I thought were difficult are finally clear because of his great way of explaining things. The live group classes are good for speaking practice and best of all: it’s not a scary but super friendly atmosphere where everyone will feel comfortable taking their first steps in speaking Japanese.

What I like most about The Japanese Lounge is the interactive nature of Tetsu-sensei’s lounge that is not something I found anywwhere else. I can’t forget how important it is that we practice output as well. There is plenty of time to practice with Tetsu-sensei and he ensures that all your questions are answered.

Everyone is very friendly. てつ先生 puts a lot of thought and hard work into helping everyone learn, and also keeps in mind the levels everyone is at and adjusts to help them on their level.
