Obatala Orisanla
Ọbàtálá is the owner of every head on Earth, the sculptor who shaped humanity with divine intention. He is the calm, steady force who brought land into being, grounding creation itself so life could take form.
On this holy day, Ọbàtálá reminds us to tend to our character, to walk gently, to choose wisdom over impulse, and to interact with others through clarity and compassion.
He also teaches us why it is dangerous to mix sacred duty with intoxication, a story I’ll share soon, because its lesson is timeless.
Ọbàtálá Òrìṣànlá, guide us today.
Help us use our gifts with purpose, our wisdom with grace, and the strength of our hearts with integrity.
May our minds remain cool.
May our steps remain steady.
May our character reflect the divine shaping of our Creator.
