Taxes for working child of an owner..
I hired my 13-year-old daughter as a sole proprietor last year, using ADP payroll. Her W-2 came back with withheld Medicare and social security taxes along with withheld state (New York) taxes.
Am I correct that she is FICA exempt as a child of owner ? Just wanted to confirm before I get ADP to correct withholdings.
