Community Rules
1. Protect your private information. Never post unredacted tax returns, taxpayer IDs, IP PINs, bank details, birth dates, signatures, account credentials, or full addresses.
2. Ask general, sanitized questions. Use hypothetical names and rounded numbers when possible.
3. Do not ask members or moderators to prepare, complete, review, approve, verify, or tell you what to enter on your return.
4. Be respectful. Explain disagreement with sources and reasoning, not personal attacks.
5. Do not promote abusive tax schemes, unsupported refund claims, or “guaranteed” tax outcomes.
6. Do not solicit members or promote unrelated products without permission.
7. Follow professional-help stop points. Some questions cannot be answered safely without a complete private review.
8. Before making a tax or legal decision, consult a qualified tax professional, attorney, or other appropriate licensed professional who can review your complete facts.
Posts that expose sensitive data may be removed immediately for member protection.
Community participation is educational and does not create a professional-client or attorney-client relationship. You are responsible for any return you file, whether you file independently or engage a professional.
