You can love someone deeply and still hurt them with the way you speak, react, or treat them.
Respect looks like:
Listening when your partner is speaking.
Honouring their boundaries.
Giving them space when they need it.
Disagreeing without insulting each other.
And never using their vulnerabilities against them.
You don’t have to agree on everything.
But you should always be able to make your partner feel safe, heard and valued.
A strong relationship isn’t about never having conflict.
It’s about how you treat each other when conflict happens.
