Tripod Grasp
The tripod grasp is the most efficient for handwriting. It minimizes the risk of hand and finger fatigue due to improper positioning.
The muscles of the hand become stronger through repeated use. Children with limited fine motor strength may require interventions to build strength prior to explicit handwriting instruction.
