One of the most powerful things about this community is realizing…you're not the only one struggling.
ADHD shows up differently for everyone, and being open about it helps all of us feel less alone.
Here are some common ADHD struggles:
- Starting tasks
- Finishing things
- Time blindness
- Forgetfulness
- Overwhelm
- Emotional regulation
- Motivation swings
- Organization
- Procrastination
I’ll Go First (My Example)
One of my biggest ADHD struggles is procrastination — something I’ve dealt with since I was a kid.
Even now, medicated, I still struggle with not wanting to do things. Medication helps… but it's not a cure-all.
I still:
- Put things off
- Avoid tasks
- Wait until the last minute
But here’s the thing — I’ve also embraced it.
I’m a procrastinator. That’s something I may never completely change.
But I also know this about myself, I always get it done.
It might be:
- 1 hour before it's due
- The night before
- A few days before
But I will get it done.
Understanding this about myself has helped me stop fighting my brain and start working with it.
