Discernment in the Digital World
Discernment in the Digital World
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned lately is this:there’s a difference between following AI and using AI as a tool.
When I first stepped into this digital world, I thought I had to become something other than myself. I thought I had to talk like the mainstream, act like the mainstream, and build like the mainstream. I fell into that trap fast. I let the noise shape me instead of letting God shape me.
But discernment changes everything.
AI is powerful — no doubt. But it’s not a leader. It’s not a voice you follow. It’s a tool you wield. And if you don’t know the difference, the digital world will swallow you whole.
Discernment is how you survive out here.
Discernment is how you stay yourself when everything around you is trying to turn you into a copy.Discernment is how you keep your mission clear when the algorithms want to pull you in a hundred directions.Discernment is how you use technology without letting technology use you.
I had to learn that the hard way.
I don’t have to be anything other than who God made me.I don’t have to perform.I don’t have to mimic.I don’t have to chase trends or talk like the internet tells me to talk.
I just have to stay aligned.
AI can help me build.AI can help me write.AI can help me organize, create, and execute. But AI cannot give me identity.AI cannot give me purpose.AI cannot give me discernment.
That comes from Christ.
T‑CRU exists for this exact reason — to help men navigate a world full of tools, temptations, shortcuts, and illusions. To help us stay grounded while we build. To help us stay honest while we grow. To help us stay aligned while we use the tools God has allowed in our generation.
We’re not here to follow machines. We’re here to follow Christ. And we’re here to use every tool available to build something real.
Discernment isn’t optional anymore.It’s survival.
Let’s grow in it together.
