After years in the field, seeing heroes fall through the cracks of systems that were never built for us, we knew something had to change. We needed a place that was ours — private, faith-based, and grounded in understanding what it actually means to serve, struggle, and survive. That’s why SoHi was built in two parts: - SoHiNY (Supporting Our Heroes NY Inc.) — our public nonprofit, designed to serve openly and reach responders, healthcare workers, and service members with programs, events, and outreach that meet them where they are. - The SoHi Private Foundation — our global, federally recognized private foundation, which ensures true confidentiality and operates independently of the state. It’s where the most personal, faith-led, and private peer support takes place — without fear, judgment, or state interference. This Skool community brings those two worlds together. It’s the bridge — where the public mission meets the private heart of what we do. It’s where healing begins, where peers connect, and where we keep the light of service alive in one another. We don’t wear labels here. We don’t measure worth by rank, badge, or title.
