😬Product Design: Expectation vs Reality
Good Morning!
Agree 100% with the designer in the screenshot. She would be setting her client and herself up for failure to not do her due diligence with a strong product/project plan, daily check ins (sprints), and zero knowledge/market research into the industry she’s building a product in.
Same goes for all of you who are using AI to build apps, sites, GPTs for release to the public. If you haven’t thought about the planning, build, and testing phases before launching your product, think through it again.
The more complex an app or site, the more focus on planning, building, and testing. “Complex” means a product with many features, storing user data in a database, sound capabilities, integrations with features like maps, haptics, light, message boards, etc.
I’d recommend to start small, with a simple idea that accomplishes one simple task (like creating a landing page or ChatGPT hosted bot for your brand or creating a web based —NOT mobile— app which updates daily AI news). Those require a minimal database, limited integrations with third party apps, one page instead of multiple pages.
