🦃Holiday Mini-Rant + GPT SUPAClass Closes Today🎄
For all who celebrate, hope you’re enjoying the start to the holiday season. This group has had a lull in activity during our November hiatus. The first paid workshop on GPTs has been posted in the Classroom. To access: click on the first tile GPT SUPAClass and purchase. Enrollments close today! I spent the past month testing AI products, updating myself on the latest AI developments, and seeing what people in the AI space are doing — I even lost money on AI products which don’t work. It’s obvious many content creators have now put on their AI boss babes hats on. Many people, from finance bros to influencers, believe it’s easy - prompting AI tools using digital marketing mindsets, not tech and product design mindsets. It’s not easy, and the broken, poorly designed AI products flooding the market which I have seen and bought over the past month prove that. The teacher in me took a seat when I came across all the issues and I did not offer to fix the errors and security gaps. As an educator, it killed me and as a customer I had to request my money be refunded. I hope everyone in this community who puts a product out there does their due diligence in testing and security. One thing I’ll say, Google Gemini App Studio (Cursor/Lovable/etc) is NOT meant to be used to build apps that you can then sell on Stan store or Beacons from a link you’ve shared... Building apps and GPTs via prompts is not the same as a prompting your way to a digital product like an ebook or Canva image pack. There is much more education and understanding that should take place before selling a product built with and by AI than many of us have… It seems like selling “GPTs and apps” is the new thing in the digital marketing space and the hustle girlies. Please do not do what they do and at least run an audit on what you’re releasing. Also, do NOT do something like post your developer access link as your customers’ purchase link, for instance. Please don’t take advice from people who are telling you to leave your code open source via Gemini or Cursor, not trademarking anything, and not even customizing your domain. Please listen to those of us who care 😉
