Practically free sourdough starter from the 1800s
I just saw the coolest thing. I guess you can send an addressed and stamped envelope to the address in the picture below they will send you sourdough starter that was started on the Oregon Trail in 1847. I have been trying to make my own starter from scratch the past two years and have been unsuccessful. I think I’m just gonna send a little envelope and get some super old sourdough. I was trying to name my old sourdough starter Voldoughmort (potentially why it wasn’t working it was a bad starter.😂) Maybe I’ll name this one like cholera or dysentery… maybe drowndoughed?
