I wanted to share a quick update and a little piece of my heart.
I’m still new to building a community like this, but I started the Sunflower Sanctuary Society because I wanted to try something different — something fun, healing, and meaningful for my life.
I’ve been in the medical field for years, caring for others, giving my heart, and showing up even on the hardest days. But along the way, I realized I’ve been trying to figure out who I am outside of work — outside of being the strong one, the caregiver, the one everyone leans on.
Sewing, crafting, creating… those things have brought me comfort and joy in ways I didn’t expect. And I wanted a place where I could mix all of that together — healthcare heart, creativity, healing, growth — and build something new for myself.
