But I always considered myself spiritual — working off energy, the kind you feel more than explain. ✨ When I retired I finally asked the question I'd been putting off my whole life: what even is a Bible? That one question broke everything open. I found out the word Bible comes from the Greek biblia — meaning books. Plural. Not one book. 📚 Many. Then I found the word canon — the official list of what made the cut. Then I found out where canon actually comes from. A reed. 🌾 An ancient measuring rod used in Egypt and Babylon. Someone held that reed and decided what was worthy of being remembered. And what wasn't. That reed led me to Thoth — the divine scribe of ancient Egypt. God of the moon. 🌕 Keeper of records. He held the measuring rod long before any council voted on what you'd be allowed to read.
