⚽ NCAA Dead Periods Explained
The Dead Period in NCAA recruiting is a time when college coaches cannot have in-person contact with athletes or their families. However, they can still communicate via phone, email, or other digital means.
- Men’s Soccer Dead Period:Dec. 12-15 (Friday-Monday during the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship). Coaches may attend events in the host city of the championship.
- Women’s Soccer Dead Period:Dec. 15-Jan. 5, 2026. This is an extended 20-day period where coaches cannot watch you play in person but can still connect via phone, email, etc.
