Hey everyone - Nate the Great! here.
Yes… that Nate the Great!
The “legend” you never heard of until recently. 😎
I’m honored to be part of this community; which actually functions like, well, a community. Shoutout to for inviting me. 👏 I’m a 57‑year‑old Christian marketer and transformational writer.
I’m also a Type 2 diabetic and a kidney transplant survivor - living proof that resilience, faith and the right words can carry you through the most difficult times of your life.
I’m on a lifelong mission of H.O.P.E. - Helping Other People Excel.
I use my words, my writing, in particular, to help people excel in all aspects of their lives; including spiritually, personally, professionally, creatively and more - no matter where they’re starting from.
My writing is shaped by four giants in my life:
God - the source of my strength, my resilience, my identity and every ounce of Greatness I carry.
My Dad - a pastor whose life taught me compassion, clarity, conviction and how to serve people with integrity.
Dan Kennedy - the legendary copywriter who taught me the power of strategic words and how they can move people to action.
Les Brown - the motivational icon who said, “You have greatness in you. You’re here because the world needs you.” His message became the heartbeat of my mission - and the signature truth behind my new Substack, Greater Words, Greater You!
Those influences helped me survive some of the most difficult moments of my kidney transplant journey. Words - prayed, spoken, written and repeated - became my lifeline.
They helped me endure. They helped me rise. They helped me rebuild.
Now, more than ever, I’m all about helping others use better words and simple actions to build a greater life - even if they're starting with absolutely nothing.
My new Substack, Greater Words, Greater You! is dedicated to activating your Greatness - not someday, not when everything lines up, but right now, using what you already have. I’m here to learn, contribute, encourage, add value, grow - and, of course, have some fun while I'm at it.
And if you haven’t noticed by now, “great” is one of my favorite words of all time.
Because…
I’m all about that great, ’bout that great, ’bout that great… 😉
To OUR Greatness 🤝
Nate the Great! 💪
