#6 OIL LIGHT
#6 is the oil pressure light , Typically a Red or Yellow oil can symbol indicates a critical issue with your engine's lubrication system. Warning of low oil pressure or low oil level, which requires immediate attention
Some cars use this light as a routine oil change reminder - check your owners manual for more information.
"The car is at 45% so Im good!" - I hear these words way too often sadly the cars are NOT THAT SMART, the percentage on the dash is calculated on mileage and NOT on the ACTUAL physical oil LEVEL. An oil leak, reliability on this percetage and lack of repair is a perfect storm.
At times I have seen this percentage accidently reset causing the engine to suffer abuse and eventually damage.
