* Toyota sends out Recall *
As a shop we have received a message from TOYOTA affiliates - this would be now the second call for trucks as new as 2024! An Active recall on a wide variety of years of the Toyota Tundra - Toyota Tundra/Lexus LX/GX (2022-2024): - Toyota Supra (2021-2023): - Check Your VIN: Use the NHTSA recall lookup tool or contact a Toyota dealer with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to see if your specific vehicle is affected by any recall. If you have had your vehicle in the shop due to any of the failures discussed in the recall, gather your receipts and give your mechanic the heads up as yourr receipt will be under the microscope for a possible and well deserved refund. 🎲

Charging System Warning - This can be either the system is not working properly. Usually signaling a problem with the alternator, bad serpentine belt, loose/corroded battery cables, faulty voltage regulator, or sometimes the battery itself, preventing it from charging properly and risking a stall vehicle. In the winter most batteries that are near aging out will drop voltage and will present signs such as this light on the dash. I have seen this in a newer KIA and it is a known DEALER bulletin where there is a parasidic draw due to a faulty sun visor fault. Some visors have a light and this light, either opened or not create a minor parasidic draw, causing the battery to be working even when the car is off. Check any Mechanical Bulletins for your Make and Model of car, these can save you some money if under warranty.

Whats your LIGHT telling ya??
Good Morning my friends, Sending all of ya warm hugs and amazing happy vibes. We are having a tad of a chill front (45 deg) so in TEXAS terms we are freezing and our big jackets have come out of hiding. I saw this on Daily Mail and thought we could all use a little game. Sometimes these lights can result in a bigger problem and they are not to be ignored. Lets look at some dash lights and see which ones are known and which ones are new. This is the first of 3 post so lets begin.
Whats your LIGHT telling ya??
#1 Warning Light
#1 Warning light- number one is the handbrake warning - and usually means the handbrake is still on and should be let down before the car is driven.

#6 OIL LIGHT
#6 is the oil pressure light , Typically a Red or Yellow oil can symbol indicates a critical issue with your engine's lubrication system. Warning of low oil pressure or low oil level, which requires immediate attention Some cars use this light as a routine oil change reminder - check your owners manual for more information. "The car is at 45% so Im good!" - I hear these words way too often sadly the cars are NOT THAT SMART, the percentage on the dash is calculated on mileage and NOT on the ACTUAL physical oil LEVEL. An oil leak, reliability on this percetage and lack of repair is a perfect storm. At times I have seen this percentage accidently reset causing the engine to suffer abuse and eventually damage. Share this information with your significant other, child, friend or even foe. GOOGLE this and tell me more.
