Pumpkins and Turkey with Dressing

This is what my childhood memories of Thanksgiving included. The aromas of the season not only filled the air, but also remained in the house as if someone had painted the walls with turkey drippings.

But another very special memory was gathering around the family table which was always hosted by my grandfather, Maston T. Bass, a barber and lifetime resident of East Baltimore.( I go into this detail in calling out his name as goes the African Tradition in remembering our Elders. Our forefathers had names....seek them out....speak them out..)

Most of all live out those dreams that they had for you because now, being a participant in this Standing & Rebuilding Ministries, you have been quickened and inspired by our own Dr. Fenner via the Holy Spirit, to rein vision and recapture those dreams.

P.S. Dressing was always stuffed inside the turkey, with a additional pan for later. Everyone wanted "Dibs" on the inside portions.
