Welcome to Base Camp
Welcome. If you’re here, it likely means one of two things: Either you’re already working outdoors and want to ensure you’re doing it well. Or you feel the pull to take your practice outside but want clarity before you begin. This CPD pathway is being built from lived clinical experience - not theory alone. Level 1 will be a self guided 8 module course which will cover: • Why Walk & Talk works psychologically and neurologically • Suitability and contraindications • Risk assessment and insurance • Structure and containment outdoors • Ethical and professional considerations Level 2 will add include the Level 1 course, but will go deeper: Two 90 minute live calls will give the opportunity to explore real world examples and scenarios and ask questions on areas such as: • Trauma processing outdoors • Complex presentations • Clinical nuance in natural settings Over the coming weeks I’ll share development updates, reflections from practice, and early access details. For now, it would be great if you could introduce yourself below: 1. Where are you based? 2. Are you currently offering Walk & Talk? 3. What’s your biggest question about working outdoors?
