How Can Nothing Find
[verse 1]
Knock it back, cut it some slack, it's like this heart attack, can't alleviate, can't hack
Bring it back to loving me and get me back on track, lost my knife, don't feel like Mack
But I'm growing stronger, taking it back a little longer
Longer than all these years, stronger than all these fears
All the the years I've cried inside your lairs
Going to find my way out, going to climb the stairs
Don't set the table, there's too many chairs
[chorus]
Venus holds the fire to which of that I desire
Go tell it on the mountain, tell the church street choir
Watson is drowning somewhere south of heaven
Tried to reach thirteen, but then 8 stops seven
But 6-7 is 13 and takeaway 2, then that's eleven
Led looking for the stairway, floating high looking for heaven
And this feeling of good faith that has no business in my mind
It's making me keep it all inside keeping dreams safe throughout the grind
Something's waiting, everything is waiting, how can nothing find, how can nothing find
[verse 2]
Poignant poem, can you find me a home, champagnes with foam, and end this roam
Love me like I deserve or simply quit, that's it, lost my hair, lost my comb
You think I'm weak, so you don't give me your cheek
Cheek that I will always seek, pauper or a sheik
I can cry like a baby but deep down I'm tough
Hearing and always fearing the worst gets mighty rough
I've been giving what I got but it never seems enough
[bridge]
Night swimming always deserved a quiet night
But I'm like a riot, right
Why wander, why fight
Never the answer
So close, but not quite
[bridge]
Night swimming always deserved a quiet night
But I'm like a riot, right
Why wander, why fight
Never the answer
So close, but not quite
