Ki-Mu Breathing — Creating the Conditions for Natural Movement
Ki-Mu practice begins with something we do every moment: breathing. But the goal is not to control the breath or force it into a perfect rhythm. In the teachings of Chongjae Nim Kim Jeong Seong, breathing should first become natural. The diaphragm moves, internal pressure changes and the whole body responds. When breathing becomes unnecessarily forced, the body may become tense rather than free. Ki-Mu therefore begins by observing the breath and allowing the body to participate naturally. This becomes the foundation for everything that follows: Breathing → Movement → Meditation → Ki-Mu Body → Healing Before practice, three calm, deep breaths can help settle body and mind. Then we stop interfering and allow natural breathing to continue. The principle is simple: Don’t force the breath. Don’t chase a special state. Create the conditions — then allow. This is where Ki-Mu begins. Based on the teachings shared by Chongjae Nim Kim Jeong Seong, 9th Dan, during the 7th Bulgarian Haedong Kumdo Event 2026 in Borovets, Bulgaria. Ki-Mu Breathing — Creating the Conditions for Natural Movement
🇧🇬 Bulgaria Haedong Kumdo Event — Day 2
Saturday, 29 August — From Sword Forms to Ki-Mu Healing The day started early. At 07:00, I had breakfast together with Grand Master Kim, Jeong Seong and Li Schlüter, the German representative. Over breakfast we talked about the general development of Haedong Kumdo in different countries and, of course, about the upcoming EU Championships in Belgium in April. It was an interesting way to start the day — discussing the future of Haedong Kumdo while enjoying breakfast, knowing that another full day of training was already waiting for us. 🇧🇬 Bulgaria Haedong Kumdo Event — Day 1
Friday, 28 August — Testing, Cutting & Double Sword Techniques After yesterday’s long journey from the Netherlands, I woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the first real day of the Bulgarian Haedong Kumdo Event. Before heading to the seminar, I had some time to enjoy the beautiful garden of Hotel Marilena and have breakfast with Grand Master Kim, Jeong Seong. The hotel itself is quite distinctive, with beautiful oriental influences throughout the decoration. Combined with the peaceful garden, it created a wonderful atmosphere to start the day. I’ll try to include some shots of it in the video because it really deserves to be seen. Read the complete story: https://springdragon.nl/%f0%9f%87%a7%f0%9f%87%ac-bulgaria-haedong-kumdo-event-day-1/

Travel Day from Eindhoven Airport to Sofia Bulgaria
Thursday, 27 August — The Journey Begins Two years had passed since my last visit to Bulgaria. After a wonderful vacation in Northern Germany with my wife Saskia, it was time to pack my bags once again — this time, however, I would be travelling alone. My destination: Bulgaria, to participate in the Bulgarian Haedong Kumdo Event with Grand Master Kim, Jeong Seong. I was especially attracted to Victor’s idea of focusing on Healing with a small group, including a special training experience partly taking place in the Bulgarian mountains under the exclusive guidance of Grand Master Kim, Jeong Seong. That sounded like an opportunity I simply couldn’t miss! Read the complete story: https://springdragon.nl/travel-day-eindhoven-to-sofia/ Facebook:
