Create. Move. Rise
Creativity as a balm.
Create from the pervasive low moods and/or staggering, paralyzing anxiety you may be suffering through.
In this way you give it the acknowledgment it seeks through the manifestation in your body, mind and/or spirit.
With acknowledgment that it was important or scary or sad or valuable in ways you may not even know, it can bid goodbye when you consciously release it.
Stay away from the script bottles; Hell is found at the bottom of them.
Drawing literally saved my life. My IG account instagram.com/ks_cache is a record of my clawing back period - specifically the years 2017-2021. I was very nearly unalive from the loss of life force, of connection with my essence if you will.
Benzodiazepine dependency—with never once having abused them or any other drug in my life—and profound flattening of aspect from antidepressant therapy zeroed-out my presence in my body. I was a walking corpse.
On the urging of my adult child checking on me from college one day on a phone call, weeping, they begged me: ‘Momma dad tells me things are getting worse for you.….please momma please, draw. Pick up your pens. Grab a sketch book. Take out your inks. You love pen and ink. Please momma even if it hurts, just draw.’
Has creativity of any kind—cooking, planting in a garden or window box, knitting, bundling sticks together into an abstract form—literally anything—ever helped you?
