A man’s words are like stones, once thrown, they can’t be taken back.
Some build walls.
Some build bridges.
Some hit the very people we meant to protect.
In the phalanx, every command matters. A careless word can cause confusion, a clear one can save a life.
It’s no different in daily life.
What you say to your wife, your kids, your brothers… it shapes how safe they feel standing beside you.
Your words should carry weight, not noise.
Speak truth, but speak it with purpose.
Say less, mean more.
And when you do speak, let it build strength, not damage trust.
Reflection:
Have my words lately built up or torn down the people I love?
Field Exercise:
Today, pause before you speak, especially when emotions run high.
Ask yourself: Will these words build trust or break it?
Then send one short message or speak one phrase today that strengthens someone near you even if it’s just “I’m proud of you,” or “I’m with you.”
A man’s strength isn’t just in his hands, it’s in his voice.
Scripture:
“The tongue has the power of life and death.”
— Proverbs 18:21
