Scripture: “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14
Interpretation:
Noise is the enemy of clarity. The man who never stills his tongue or his soul drowns in the echo of his own restlessness. Stillness isn’t weakness. It’s the strength to master the storm within. In silence, truth rises. In stillness, God speaks.
The challenge:
One hour this week. No phone, no music, no distraction. Sit in silence. Breathe. Listen. Write down what comes, not what you think, but what you hear in the quiet.
The reflection:
What truth have you been avoiding that silence would force you to face?
How to report back:
Post in Field Reports with:
- When and where you took your hour
- What was hardest about it
- What you heard
You don’t have to share the deepest part publicly. But share something real. If it’s heavy, drop it in The Brotherhood and let the men carry it with you.
I’ll be doing this one right alongside you. Some nights I still stand in the kitchen at 2:17 a.m. It gets easier, and it never stops being worth it.
Stay still. Stay ready.
