This is about some tasks we recommend to get you started. Also some expectations.

🥇Task 1:
Do your gap analysis.
Write out an analysis of where you are at this very moment in comparison with the chess command special teams minimum requirement. This shows you on paper, clear as day, the daylight between you and where you need to be. This will help you get focused. Save it somewhere, print it, have it lying around.
🥇Task 2:
Write your schedule.
Create a Test Schedule. This will be a weekly schedule that you are going to work to as a baseline minimum. It will involve all of your chess and physical trainings and whatever else takes up most of your time. It's required that you do this. Write one that is achievable as well as one that pushes you to be consistent.
Tip: It's about consistency over intensity.
🥇Task 3:
Plan tournaments.*
IF you are not FIDE rated yet*. Plan your FIDE rated tournaments that you'll attend before the selection window opens. Make sure your rating is published before special team selection happens.
🥇Task 4:
Reach out and post.
Reach out to someone within the chess command. Be active. Post something or comment.
Show a run, a workout, a game, your gap analysis, your schedule... anything.

You are expected to contribute to the community. Don't just be a silent lurker. Part of getting on a special team is about you being confident and outgoing with others. Communication is king.
