Tomato hot, cold or neither?
The ageโold question: Is tomato a fruit or a vegetable?
Technically, itโs a fruit. But here in South Africa, we classify and enjoy it as a vegetable and a very important one at that!
๐ Worldwide, over 180 million tonnes of tomatoes are produced each year.
South Africa contributes more than 500,000 tonnes to that total.
If it takes 36 ripe tomatoes to fill one bottle of All Gold tomato sauce I wonder how many bottles it will fill each year. ๐
