Hey everyone! Today I want to share something thatās been a huge game-changer for me and could be for you as well. Recently, I hired a new person into my lifeāa Lifestyle Manager. Essentially, sheās helping me take care of everything in my personal life, from managing the household to planning meals that support my fitness journey, to even making sure my motorbikeās always fueled up. Pretty cool, right? š But thereās a much bigger message here that I believe will help you grow personally and professionally.
Letās talk about a principle that has truly transformed the way I approach my life: The Pareto Principle, or the 80/20 Rule. This idea states that 80% of your results come from just 20% of your actions. So why not focus on the areas where youāre a genius and let others handle the rest? š±
Hereās the key insight: Focus on what you do best and empower others to do the same. Itās not about offloading tasks. Itās about finding people whose genius complements yours, people who love doing the things that might drain your energy. My lifestyle manager enjoys organizing, planning, and making things flow smoothlyāand Iām not just delegating to her, Iām empowering her. Iāve even encouraged her to grow her expertise and, in the future, build her own team.
So how does this apply to you and our community? Think about it this way: What are the top 20% of activities that bring you the most results? Could you delegate the other 80% so you can double down on what truly matters? What would your life and business look like if you focused only on your unique strengths and let others shine in theirs? š
Itās all about creating a self-managing ecosystem. I believe in building a team (and a community) where people donāt need micromanaging. I hate micromanaging! Instead, I paint the vision, and my team contributes their unique gifts toward that vision. Thatās how we all grow, together. š
A quote I live by: āDonāt ask how, ask who.ā This idea from Dan Sullivanās Who Not How has been pivotal in my journey. Rather than asking āHow can I do this?ā ask āWho can do this for me, so I can focus on what I do best?ā By building a team of experts around you, you free yourself to focus on your own areas of geniusāand ultimately, thatās how youāll grow both your business and your personal life.
Iām documenting this whole processābuilding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with my lifestyle manager so that in the future, I can seamlessly delegate to someone else. And hereās the exciting part: If youāre curious about how to apply this in your life, Iād love to share these insights with you! Whether itās my SOPs, my morning routine, or how Iām staying on top of my fitness goalsājust let me know. š¬
So, hereās my question to you: Whatās the 20% you should be focusing on? Drop a comment below, let me know what youāre learning, and how you can apply this to your life and business. And if you have any questions, donāt hesitate to askāIām here to support you on this journey. Together, we can create a community thatās powerful, self-managing, and full of people working in their zone of genius. š„
Letās grow together. š
