Need Advice: Should I Niche Down or Stay Broad as a Beginner Agency Owner?

Hey everyone! 👋I’m currently leaning toward serving the Home Services niche and considering sub-niching into HVAC and Plumbing companies to start.

Since I’m still in the early stages and focused on getting my first few paying clients, I’m wondering — is it smarter to niche down right away, or should I stay broader within Home Services until I have around 10+ clients and then refine my focus?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through this — what worked best for you when starting out?
