Small crew but mighty! Lynn and I had a great chat and talked about somatic breathing and all the things. Something we can all relate to is trying something new that we're excited about and for whatever reason, the "thing" or class or whatever it is, just doesn't vibe. I've personally experienced this many times as well. I recall going to a yoga class years ago that was highly recommended by a friend of mine. During the class I caught myself thinking "what, really?". The instructors words didn't resonate with me and I left kinda disappointed to say the least. But, and this is probably the most important thing. I tried another class later and loved the instructors style and flow. She set the space in a way that felt right to my nervous system, so nothing felt forced. My mind was able to chill and it was a great experience. So, something I heard once about food is to try things 3 times because often on the 3rd time a switch can flip. Maybe it's the environment you try it in, your age, taste buds current phase etc. Maybe life is kinda like that. It's a bummer when you spend time and money on an experience and it just doesn't hit, but/and if you keep trying, try another bite, class, another teacher etc, it's got a much higher chance. It definitely won't if you don't try. And there are some things...black licorice, oysters, and heavy metal for me...that will never be my thing, and that's OK!😂 Anybody had this happen. How did it work out, if at all? Feel free to share!
