Hello and welcome to my little corner of Skool. So first things first, let's go through the who, the what and the why of Solid Mindset.
First, who am I?? Well I'm a PT and lifelong gym rat, competitive body builder for the past 10 years or so. My names Dirk, some of you will know me from maybe training in the same gyms, maybe you are or have been a client, or you know me from the socials. However we've met, or if we haven't yet, great to see you and welcome, kickoff your virtual shoes, grab a seat and make yourselves at home!!
So what's mindset all about? Initially it's all about the ways our minds work, how they can be either our greatest asset or our biggest adversary. We live in a world of hyper stimulation, mobile phones, social media, news, emails and a hundred other things, an information overload and a mental minefield overload. This will hopefully offer a bit of a shelter, an oasis of a slower paced place to look at what's going on, how we perceive and absorb information, how it can affect us and how we can combat any adverse affects it has on us, both in a gym environment and in everyday life.
How will. It work? Not sure right now as I have a host of ideas but initially I'll post some stuff that I think might be helpful to others, both from personal experience and from what I've learnt and picked up from a life time of both good and not so good decisions.
Eventually I'm hoping it will become a succesfull community where we can learn, grow and support each other on the way to a calmer, clearer way of dealing with today's high pressure lifr
